WAESOL, the Washington state affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), is a professional, non-profit organization whose purposes are to:
  • Promote scholarship
  • Disseminate information related to ESOL
  • Strengthen instruction, teacher training, and research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages

Clock hours will be available for both the live conference and the recorded sessions. Please note: Clock hours can only be earned once for a particular session either during the live conference or as a recording.

Shélynn is the Co-Creator of The Teacher Think-Aloud Podcast, a podcast for reflective practice for teachers of English around the world, and a Professional Development Consultant and Facilitator for i-Earn (International Education and Resource Network) USA. She also teaches Intercultural Communication Skills and Global Citizenship at Fordham and Pace Universities in NYC. Shélynn has held positions of leadership in curriculum development and administration at universities and non-profits in New York City and Rhode Island, and served in Argentina as an English Language Fellow with the U.S. Department of State, where she facilitated PD for in-service educators and led teacher training across the country. Presently, her research and instructional interests include decolonial ethics in the language classroom, global citizenship education, intercultural communicative competence, and reflective professional learning.
