WAESOL, the Washington state affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), is a professional, non-profit organization whose purposes are to:
  • Promote scholarship
  • Disseminate information related to ESOL
  • Strengthen instruction, teacher training, and research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages

Clock hours will be available for both the live conference and the recorded sessions. Please note: Clock hours can only be earned once for a particular session either during the live conference or as a recording.

Margaret (Maggie) Diehl is an ESL instructor in the Spokane area. She teaches at Mukogawa Women’s University, Spokane Community College, and Gonzaga University. Juggling adjunct work can be difficult, but the varied experiences and contexts have given many opportunities for her to challenge herself and continue learning. Recently, exploring online teaching has been the newest opportunity for growth, and she looks forward to sharing her “ah-ha” moments with fellow WAESOL educators.
