WAESOL, the Washington state affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), is a professional, non-profit organization whose purposes are to:
  • Promote scholarship
  • Disseminate information related to ESOL
  • Strengthen instruction, teacher training, and research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages

Clock hours will be available for both the live conference and the recorded sessions. Please note: Clock hours can only be earned once for a particular session either during the live conference or as a recording.

Margaret (Maggie) Diehl is an ESL instructor in the Spokane area. She teaches at Mukogawa Women’s University US Campus and Gonzaga University. Her passion is materials development and integrating new technologies to create a dynamic classroom. She has her masters in TESOL and taught abroad in Costa Rica. Her father always told her “The secret to a happy life is to find what you love, then find a way to make money doing it.” She has been successful creating a happy life in Spokane, WA, teaching (and learning from) immigrant, refugee, and international students.
