WAESOL, the Washington state affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), is a professional, non-profit organization whose purposes are to:
  • Promote scholarship
  • Disseminate information related to ESOL
  • Strengthen instruction, teacher training, and research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages

Clock hours will be available for both the live conference and the recorded sessions. Please note: Clock hours can only be earned once for a particular session either during the live conference or as a recording.

Evelyn Recinos- Menéndez is originally from Guatemala and this is her 12th year  at Schuyler Community Schools serving students from different parts of the world.  One of her main goals is to create a diverse and equitable learning environment implementing a holistic dynamic multicultural constructive educational framework in which every student  is able to use his/her own linguistic and cultural  resources through the integration of the four domains of language: oral, reading, writing, and metalinguistic.
