David Martin

David Martin has been teaching for 21 years with about 15 in the ESL realm. He is currently a Teaching Assistant Professor in the English department at WSU, focusing on developmental and first-year composition. His research interests include ESL teacher identity trajectories, identities in transition, language materials use, and the use of photography in the classroom. David received his Ph.D. in Language and Literacy in 2017 and has been happily teaching composition since that time. He enjoys traveling with his wife and documenting the journeys and hopes to retire to Thailand when time and money permit.
