WAESOL, the Washington state affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), is a professional, non-profit organization whose purposes are to:
  • Promote scholarship
  • Disseminate information related to ESOL
  • Strengthen instruction, teacher training, and research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages

Clock hours will be available for both the live conference and the recorded sessions. Please note: Clock hours can only be earned once for a particular session either during the live conference or as a recording.

Sam is an Educational Lead Developer at the Faculty of Health Sciences (McMaster University) & a Communications Lead (Canadian Cancer Society). He is a multiple award recipient with more than 50 international conference presentations in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. He also a master in Media and Technology Education from UBC and certificates from Harvard, Pennsylvania, Michigan, California-Davis, and a significant number of US universities. His expertise in interdisciplinary areas of Industry, Healthcare and Technology Education led him to interdisciplinary collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (i.e., Deans, Associate Deans, Executive Directors, and Managers at UBC, McMaster, and some private organizations) in Digital Media Communications & Marketing, Instructional Technology and Educational/training Development projects in Canada and the US.
